Professor Hervé Debar
is the head of the Networks department at Telecom SudParis. He is the coordinator of the 3rd year (Master2) engineering track on cybersecurity (“Sécurité des Services et des Réseaux
“). This track trains 24 engineers yearly as cybersecurity specialists and is recognized under the (SecNumEDU label
) by the french cybersecurity agency ANSSI. His research activities cover protection, detection and mitigation of cyberthreats. He has published over 150 scientific papers on these topics, and is the author of over 10 patents. He is currently serving as editor of Computer Communications and International Journal of Information Security. He is an elected academic member of the ECSO (European Cyber-Security Organization
) Partnership Board and the academic vice-president of the Digital Trust, Security and Defense working group of the (System@tic
) cluster. He is currently coordinating the (H2020 CSA EUNITY
) on the dialogue between Europe and Japan on cybersecurity and privacy. He regularly acts as expert for the European Commission, Member States and scientific organizations.
